There’s nothing more entertaining that watching your favorite YouTube videos. But how do you watch YouTube when you’re on the go and don’t have a computer handy? Well, if you have a video iPod, you can download YouTube videos from the web to your iPod, to watch wherever you happen to be, at your own convenience.
How do you get a video from the YouTube site to your iPod—or to your iPhone or Apple TV device? It’s not necessarily intuitive, but it can be done. Read on to learn how.
If you have a fifth-generation video iPod, you’re probably looking for new (and low-cost) videos to play on your iPod. YouTube videos are ideal for iPod playback—after they’ve been properly converted, that is.
You see, the videos on the YouTube site are normally streamed to your web browser in .FLV format, using the Adobe Flash Player. To play a YouTube video on your iPod, you first need to download the .FLV format file to your computer’s hard drive and then convert the file to the MPEG-4 file format (with.MP4 or .MPV file extensions) used by the iPod. Once saved and converted, you can import the file into the iTunes software, and then transfer the file from iTunes to your iPod for mobile viewing.
There are several programs that perform this download-and-convert process. The most popular of these programs include the following:
Online, the vixy.net Online FLV Converter website downloads and converts any YouTube video to iPod video format, with no software necessary. The service is free.
Of all these iPod conversion tools, my favorite is iTube, a free program that offers some nice features, chief among them the ability to perform both the download and the conversion process in a single step. (That is, you don’t have to download the videos first, outside the program.) When you launch iTube, the program displays a dialog box. Enter the YouTube video URL into the Page URL box; then click Go. iTube downloads the video, automatically converts it to iPod format, and then imports it into your iTunes video library. The next time you connect your iPod to your computer, the video is transferred to your iPod for viewing on the go. It’s the easiest way I know to download YouTube videos to your iPod.
To watch YouTube videos on your iPod, simply open the Movies menu. That’s where all the saved and converted videos are stored. Choose from the videos listed, and then click the Play button.
If you’re one of the early adopters who are using the Apple iPhone, you can view YouTube videos on your iPhone from wherever you have Internet service. A YouTube applet is built into the iPhone interface, which makes viewing YouTube videos as easy as pressing a few buttons. (And YouTube has facilitated the process by converting all their .FLV-format videos to the H.264 format, which is what Apple uses for iPhone video playback.)
To view a YouTube video on your iPhone, press the YouTube button on the main screen. This connects your iPhone to the YouTube site and displays five buttons along the bottom of the screen: Featured, Most Viewed, Bookmarks, Search, and More. Select any of the first three buttons and you’ll see a list of videos onscreen; scroll through this list and tap a video to begin playback. To search the YouTube site for a specific video, press the Search button and enter your query using the iPhone’s onscreen virtual keyboard.
Once a video loads, turn your iPhone sideways to view the video in widescreen mode. Tap once on the touchscreen to bring up the onscreen transport controls. You use these controls to pause, stop, fast forward, and rewind the video.
Note that when you watch a YouTube video on your iPhone, you’re doing it in real time, via streaming video; the video is not saved to your iPhone. This means you’ll want to be connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot for best viewing. It’s an unfortunate fact that AT&T’s Edge network isn’t quite fast enough for satisfactory streaming of large video files.
By the way, the iPhone isn’t the only mobile phone you can use to watch YouTube videos. YouTube Mobile is available for any web-enabled mobile phone. Just point your cell phone’s web browser to m.youtube.com and settle in for some on-the-go viewing!
Many iPod fans are purchasing Apple TV units so they can watch and listen to their iTunes media on their home entertainment systems. Apple TV is nothing more than a big iPod for the living room—or maybe it’s a small computer, depending on how you look at it. It’s a small box that connects to your home computer network, your television set, and your home audio system.
When you’re connected to the Internet, you can use Apple TV to view YouTube videos. Just select YouTube from the main menu and you’ll see a new screen full of YouTube-related options: Featured, Most Viewed, Most Recent, Top Rated, History, and Search. Select the Log In option to log into your existing YouTube account, and then you can use Apple TV to access your favorite and recently viewed videos, as well to search the YouTube site for other videos to watch.
Select a YouTube video and it will appear in a window in the top left corner of the Apple TV screen. Information about the video appears just below it, and related videos are displayed to the right. Use the controls on your Apple TV remote to play, pause, stop, fast-forward, and rewind the current video.
Note that not all YouTube videos are currently available for Apple TV or iPhone viewing. YouTube is in the process of converting all of its videos to the H.264 format, which is necessary for viewing on Apple TV and the iPhone. They expect all videos to be converted by fall of 2007.

GetDataBack for NTFS can recover your data even if the drive is no longer recognized by Windows.
GetDataBack can likewise be used even if all directory information - not just the root directory- is missing.
Advanced algorithms will make sure that all directories and sub directories are put together as they were, and that long file names are reconstructed correctly.
GetDataBack is read-only, meaning the program will never attempt to write to the drive you are about to recover. Please make sure to read the safety instructions.
GetDataBack enables the regular user to conduct his own data recovery by guiding him through five easy to understand steps, thus gives the advanced user the possibility to interfere with the recovery and improve the results, by examining the scan log, the file system details, file and directory information, by selecting the sector range to be scanned, by choosing excessive search for file systems or search for lost files, by calling Runtime’s DiskExplorer.
GetDataBack can even recover your data when the drive is no longer recognized by Windows.

Link:RapidShare is a German owned One-click hosting site that operates from Switzerland and is financed by the subscriptions of paying users.
It operates as both a pay and free service (with limitations), allowing any user to upload files of up to 100 MB. The user is then supplied with a unique download URL, which locates the file and enables anyone with whom the uploader shares it to download the file. Non-premium users are required to wait a time period after each download depending on the size of the last downloaded file). Their homepage states they have 170 gigabit/s of Internet connectivity and 4 petabytes of storage for users. Registration and payment allow benefits such as download of several files simultaneously, queue-skipping, and the facility to interrupt and re-start downloads. No user is allowed to search the server for content; all files have to be downloaded by following a given URL.
On October 19, 2006, RapidShare announced that "Unfortunately all drives of RapidShare.de are full right now".[1] A new website, RapidShare.com has been made in an attempt to transfer usage from RapidShare.de to RapidShare.com.[citation needed] Premium accounts for RapidShare.de were not lost as a code could be used to transfer the account between servers. However, this code was only good for as long as the account did not expire, and the promotion did not finish. It is not possible, however, to use a RapidShare.com account on the German site. Despite the one-way compatibility with paid accounts, both sites claim to be entirely different organisations and entities. The new site originally did not impose any download limits, but on October 27, the "Happy Hours" came to an end, bringing back the download limits. The file size limit was also reduced from 300 MB to its current 100 MB.
Many people are looking for free premium accounts, so they have unlimited download capicitys - Any link to a file hosted on rapidshare which claims to contain stolen accounts or instructions on how to get a free premium account are scams. For each person fooled into downloading such a file, the scammer gets bonus points, which eventualy allow the scammer to get free acounts... for himself.
Due to certain ISP's usage of proxy servers many people are unable to access files hosted on RapidShare as they will be using one proxy server and RapidShare limits download slots for everyone using that proxy server as if it were one person. RapidShare's policy is to encourage those behind proxy servers to purchase premium accounts.
Some ISPs also intentionally block sharing sites like RapidShare to make better use of bandwidth. Every premium account is limited to a maximum of 25 GB (25.000.000.000 bytes) within a five day period.[2].
Non-paying users are required to wait more than two minutes before any download becomes available. CAPTCHA validation required. Non-paying users are also required to wait two minutes for every megabyte of data downloaded before they can download again, up to 208 minutes (100 MB).
Paying accounts for RapidShare.de and RapidShare.com are separate and not interchangeable.
On January 19, news broke that German collections agency GEMA had claimed to have won a temporary injunction against both RapidShare.de and RapidShare.com. "The latter is said to have used copyright protected works of GEMA members in an unlawful fashion,".[3] To date RapidShare has claimed not to have any knowledge of the content uploaded by the users and of not being in a position to control the content. Through its injunctions the District Court in Cologne had now however made it clear to the company that the fact that it was the users and not the operator of the services that uploaded the content onto the sites did not, from a legal point of view, lessen the operator’s liability for copyright infringements that occurred within the context of the services, the spokesman added.
Both RapidShare.de and RapidShare.com sites are currently still operating and the consequences, if any, of the claimed injunction have yet to be seen. So far they have not been sued.

Being behind firewalls, the BitTorrent client may block incoming Bit Torrent network connections. Given the load balancing and "swarming" nature of the BitTorrent network, clients unable to take incoming requests for uploads will naturally be allowed less bandwidth for downloads.
To solve this problem, consider the following:
BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol. BitTorrent is a method of distributing large amounts of data widely without the original distributor incurring the entire costs of hardware, hosting and bandwidth resources. Instead, when data is distributed using the BitTorrent protocol, each recipient supplies pieces of the data to newer recipients, reducing the cost and burden on any given individual source, providing redundancy against system problems, and reducing dependence on the original distributor.
The protocol is the brainchild of programmer Bram Cohen, who designed it in April 2001 and released a first implementation on 2 July 2001. It is now maintained by Cohen's company BitTorrent, Inc.[1]
Usage of the protocol accounts for significant traffic on the Internet, but the precise amount has proven difficult to measure.
There are numerous compatible BitTorrent clients, written in a variety of programming languages, and running on a variety of computing platforms.
A BitTorrent client is any program that implements the BitTorrent protocol. Each client is capable of preparing, requesting, and transmitting any type of computer file over a network, using the protocol. A peer is any computer running an instance of a client.
To share a file or group of files, a peer first creates a "torrent". This small file contains metadata about the files to be shared and the tracker, the computer that coordinates the file distribution. Peers that want to download the file first obtain a torrent file for it, and connect to the specified tracker, which tells them from which other peers to download the pieces of the file.
Though both ultimately transfer files over a network, a BitTorrent download differs from a classic full-file HTTP request in several fundamental ways:
Taken together, BitTorrent achieves much lower cost, much higher redundancy, and much greater resistance to abuse or "flash crowds" than a regular HTTP server. However, this protection comes at a cost: downloads take time to rise to full speed because these many peer connections take time to establish, and it takes time for a node to get sufficient data to become an effective uploader. As such, a typical BitTorrent download will gradually rise to very high speeds, and then slowly fall back down toward the end of the download. This contrasts with an HTTP server that, while more vulnerable to overload and abuse, rises to full speed very quickly and maintains this speed throughout.
In general, BitTorrent's non-contiguous download methods have prevented it from supporting "progressive downloads" or "streaming playback". But recent comments by Bram Cohen suggests that streaming torrent downloads will soon be commonplace.
The peer distributing a data file treats it as a number of identically-sized pieces, typically between 64 kB and 1 MB each. A piece size of greater than 512 kB will reduce the size of a torrent file for a very large payload, but is claimed to reduce the efficiency of the protocol [1]. The peer creates a checksum for each piece, using a hashing algorithm, and records it in the torrent file. When another peer later receives that piece, its checksum is compared to the recorded checksum to test that it is error-free.[2] Peers that provide a complete file are called seeders, and the peer providing the initial copy is called the initial seeder.
The exact information contained in the torrent file depends on the version of the BitTorrent protocol. By convention, the name of a torrent file has the suffix .torrent
. Torrent files have an "announce" section, which specifies the URL of the tracker, and an "info" section, containing (suggested) names for the files, their lengths, the piece length used, and a SHA-1 hash code for each piece, all of which is used by clients to verify the integrity of the data they receive.
Completed torrent files are typically published on websites or elsewhere, and registered with a tracker. The tracker maintains lists of the clients currently participating in the torrent.[2] Alternatively, in a trackerless system (decentralized tracking) every peer acts as a tracker. This is implemented by the BitTorrent, µTorrent, BitComet and KTorrent clients through the distributed hash table (DHT) method. Azureus also supports a trackerless method that is incompatible (as of April 2007) with the DHT offered by all other supporting clients.
In November 2006, BitTorrent Inc. introduced its "Publish Torrent" service, which creates and hosts a torrent file (seeded from an existing web-hosted media file) and tracks downloads. The service (http://www.bittorrent.com/publish) requires a client that supports web-seeding (currently only the official client, Azureus and μTorrent).
Users browse the web to find a torrent of interest, download it, and open it with a BitTorrent client. The client connects to the tracker(s) specified in the torrent file, from which it receives a list of peers currently transferring pieces of the file(s) specified in the torrent. The client connects to those peers to obtain the various pieces. Such a group of peers connected to each other to share a torrent is called a swarm. If the swarm contains only the initial seeder, the client connects directly to it and begins to request pieces. As peers enter the swarm, they begin to trade pieces with one another, instead of downloading directly from the seeder.
Clients incorporate mechanisms to optimize their download and upload rates; for example they download pieces in a random order, to increase the opportunity to exchange data, which is only possible if two peers have different pieces of the file.
The effectiveness of this data exchange depends largely on the policies that clients use to determine to whom to send data. Clients may prefer to send data to peers that send data back to them (a tit for tat scheme), which encourages fair trading. But strict policies often result in suboptimal situations, where newly joined peers are unable to receive any data (because they don't have any pieces yet to trade themselves) and two peers with a good connection between them do not exchange data simply because neither of them wants to take the initiative. To counter these effects, the official BitTorrent client program uses a mechanism called “optimistic unchoking,” where the client reserves a portion of its available bandwidth for sending pieces to random peers (not necessarily known-good partners, so called preferred peers), in hopes of discovering even better partners and to ensure that newcomers get a chance to join the swarm.[3]
IRB Rugby World Cup Final 2007 - Match Review
England v South Africa
England's Rugby bubble burst by the boot of General Montgomery, who exacted precise science and kicked England out of the final.
England took to the field at the Stade de France as defending Rugby World Cup Champions but lost out to an altogether more disciplined and better side. Congratulations to the Springboks deserved Rugby World Cup Winners 2007.
South Africa did not need to run in tries, they just needed to soak up the England pressure and whatever England could throw(bomb) at them. The game was an aerial display of ping pong most of the match, both sides using this tactic to gain territory and hope that someone would make mistakes. England made more mistakes this night and suffered for it.
This was a very tense match that had all England fans at their wits end. It lived up to it's build up, plenty of incident, drama and of course dispute. We did not see Habana on the run, or anyone really from South Africa. We did however, see Mathew Tait and Cueto they had moments when you could say 'if only' but it was not to be and that is the nature of sport and what makes us want more.
Going into this match, it was incredible to think that England had achieved the goal of reaching the final after all that had gone before. We have to take our hats off to players and staff who made that possible, they have given England fans hope again, no glory as yet but hope.
